Life can be such a pain
Life can really drive you insane.
Especially when you realize
now one's there to listen
know one even tries.

but just knowing that you'll be there
helped me get through
i'm so glad to have a friend
and awesome friend like you

even when i frowned
got drowned right in my sorrows
you came right around
promised me a better tomorrow.

you might think it's so cliche
but this line i've gotta say
the world comes to live and everything's right
from beginning to end when you've gotta a friend by your side

i've made so many idiotic mistakes.
i've lied, told anyone that i'm okay
but somehow you always knew
the feelings i held which i never say.

He blessed me with such an awesome friend like you
now i'm through in one piece

i'm glad it's over
i'm glad i can smile
i'm too young to walk that long mile
the fork in the road i took a wrong turn.
but i guess it was worthwhile

i've come to know through a friend of mine
